Why me, what's next and I don't want to ride this ride?

The initial thought that came over me as I was told that I had Systemic Lupus was just that..."Why me", "What's next" and let me off this ride. What a ride I am in for. I have been on this rollercoaster for many years, but at least now I have a name of the ride and it's not one of those thrill rides at the amusement park. None the less it is a ride that my loved ones and I are on together. I have always loved the wild rides at the amusement parks, but this is one that I had never expected. So I am buckled in, the bar is pulled down tight across my waist, and off I (we) go. For those of you with Lupus please feel free to join me and we can ride this one out together.
